A little more about us: First known as Eagle North Canoe and Kayak, the company first started in 1997 as a small gift and kayak rental shop, the years have grown us, with Eagle North Kayak starting day and overnight sea kayak tours in 2006, followed with a merger with Sea Spray Outdoor Adventure in 2013. The combining of the two companies led to our name change in 2014 to Cabot Trail Adventures. We added some great bike tours, and some great cyclocross bikes in 2015. In 2016 we added SUPs or stand up paddle boards to the fleet. Same great location, same great people, so many great options for outdoor adventure on the Cabot Trail, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Sea Kayaking Oatcakes
2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
6 cups oats (New Found Oats from Speerville are the VERY best)
pinch of salt,
pinch of cinnamon,
Melt the butter, mix the dry, then mix them together. Press into 2 greased 10x13in pans and bake at 350 F for 15-20 min, or until edges are lightly browned. Important: cut the cakes into bars while hot, and then cool mostly before removing. You can recut the lines to help remove them. OR use Parchment Paper, a girl's very best friend some days!
